Yesterday I coupled my laptop to a 40'' Samsung LCD Panel with full HD (1080p) resoultion. It's fun to have a desktop with a 1920 x 1080 native resolution.
We watched some IMAX-HD movies and the picture quality is really great! Switching back to PAL signal afterwards makes me feel sick. HDTV to the masses!!
